Rigidity threshold

For each point inside the Earth´s magnetosphere and each direction from that point, there exists a rigidity threshold below which the cosmic particles are not able to reach this point. This rigidity is called the ‘geomagnetic cut-off rigidity’. (ICRP Publication 123, 2013)
