Expanded radiation field
A field where the fluence and its direction and energy distribution have the same values throughout the volume of interest as in the actual field at the point of reference.

A hypothetical radiation field in which the spectral and the angular fluence have the same value in all points of a sufficiently large volume equal to the value in the actual field at the point of interest.
