Measurement of dose or contamination for the purpose of the assessment or control of exposure to radiation or radioactive material, and the interpretation of the results. It is associated with continuing operations and intended to demonstrate that working conditions, including the levels of individual dose, remain satisfactory, and to meet regulatory requirements.
