Adenoma

A benign tumour of glandular origin. Adenomas can grow from many organs including the colon, adrenal glands, pituitary gland, thyroid, prostate, etc. Although these growths are benign, they may progress to become malignant over time, at which point they are called ‘adenocarcinomas’.
