Angiogenesis

Growth and development of new blood vessels, from pre-existing blood vessels, which can be mediated through tumour angiogenesis factor. Angiogenesis can be a normal physiological response (e.g. wound healing) or a pathological phenomenon related to formation of malignant tissues.
