Principles of protection
A set of principles that apply to radiation sources and to the individual in controllable exposure situations. The principle of justiﬁcation and the principle of optimisation of protection are source related and apply in all exposure situations. The principle of application of dose limits is individual related and only applies in planned exposure situations
